In 2003 on a trip home to Peru to visit family and friends, creator of Inca Mama Carmela realized how wonderful it would be to share the beautiful hand made weaving of the Peruvian culture. Peru is home to one of the best wools in the world made from native Alpaca and Carmela started to scour her country for the best and most unique women’s apparel. Since 2003, Inca Textiles has sold ponchos, capes, ruanas, sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves in the United States. Inca Textiles products are hand-loomed by Peruvian artisans using Alpaca and other blends making them silky-soft and comfortable to wear.
