 Glam South Beach Maternity
GLAM South Beach is a Florida based company established in October 1990 by a small group of Hispanic fashion designers from the Caribbean and Spain. Designer Salvatorio Mendoza and his colleagues worked for many years "behind the scenes" for some of the world's most famous fashion houses. Referred to as the "fashion dream team," they all had the same vision of allowing the American woman to experience the glamour that defined them in the 40s and 50s.
In 2007, after 17 years of anonymously designing and manufacturing clothing for over 500 retailers in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo, Mendoza decided to go in another direction, and maternity wear was an attractive avenue to pursue. All the clothes he saw said nothing about the women that wore them; there was nothing special or glamorous available to the most deserving of all, a mother to be.
The result is their new line, GLAM South Beach Maternity, capturing the essence of one of the most exciting places in the world, South Beach. Influenced by its beaches, international flavor, Latin soul and nightlife, the line derives its style by using these surrounding elements to create a lifestyle and form of self expression, that allows an expectant woman to make a strong statement about how she feels and who she is at this moment in time, a glamorous canvas of life.
